Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a gram-negative bacillus that is associated with the development of the following infections:

• Cystitis

• Enteritis

• Infectious arthritis

• Intra-abdominal and peritoneal infection

• Pneumonia

• Prostitis

• Pyelonephritis

• Osteomyelitis

• Urethritis

• Skin and soft tissue infection
