- Extramedullary haematopoeisis
- Pituitary adenoma
- Craniopharyngioma
- Chondrosarcoma
- Chordoma
- Metastatic mucinous adenocarcinoma
- Brain and spinal cord cysts
- Granulomata due to sarcoidosis or tuberculosis
