Overview

MRI may be helpful in the diagnosis of bladder cancer.

MRI

• MRI is superior to other modalities in locally staging the tumour and is in some instances able to distinguish T1 from T2 tumours on T2 weighted image.

• T1: isointense compared to muscle
• T2: slightly hyperintense compared to muscle
• T1 C+(Gd): shows enhancement
