- Skin biopsy is a good test for skin lesions. Pathologists may find necrolytic migratory erythema in patients with glucagonoma.
- Epidermal necrosis
- Subcorneal pustules, either isolated or associated with necrosis of the epidermis
- Confluent parakeratosis
- Epidermal hyperplasia, and marked papillary dermal angioplasia
- Suppurative folliculitis
