On CT scan, hepatic hemangioma is characterized by dynamic enhancement pattern related to the size of its vascular space.

On CT scan, hepatic hemangioma is characterized by dynamic enhancement pattern related to the size of its vascular space. Typical lesions include:

• Noncontrast: hypointense to liver
• Arterial phase: Discontinuous, nodular, peripheral enhancement
• Portal venous enhancement: Progressive peripheral enhancement
• Delayed enhancement: lesion fills in the contrast
