- T1 weighted image:
- Hypointense compared to renal cortex
- T2 weighted image:
- Hyperintense compared to renal cortex
- May demonstrate hypointense central stellate scar
- T1 with gadolinium contrast:
- Usually demonstrates homogeneous enhancement
