Overview
Ultrasound may be helpful in the diagnosis of fibroadenoma. Findings on ultrasound suggestive of fibrodenoma include a well-circumscribed, round to ovoid, macrolobulated mass that is generally uniformly hypoechogenic.[1]

- Findings on ultrasound suggestive of fibrodenoma include:
- A well-circumscribed, round to ovoid, macrolobulated mass
- Generally uniform hypoechogenicity
- Surrounded by a thin echogenic rim (pseudocapsule)
- Calcification may be detectable in 10% of the cases
