Overview
Surgical intervention is not the first-line treatment option for patients with blepharitis.[1][2]
Surgery
Surgical intervention for blepharitis is usually reserved for the patients with complications, such as chalazion, entropion, ectropion, or horizontal eyelid laxity.[1][2]
Intraductal Meibomian Gland Probing
Invasive orifice penetration and intraductal probing seems to provide lasting rapid symptom relief for patients with posterior blepharitis with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).[3]
Lipiflow sysytem
LipiFlow, thermal pulsation system gave rise to significant improvement in both signs and symptoms of patients with meibomian gland dysfunction.[4]
