Discovery
- In 1986, Roseola virus was first isolated from patients who were diagnosed with HIV AIDS or a lymphoproliferative disorder from the peripheral blood leukocytes. [1]
- There are two different variants of HHV 6 as discovered by Frenkel and coworkers[2] , Ablashi[3] and Aubin[4]
