Overview

Medical therapy with anti helmenthic medications is the primary modality of treatment. The treatment options include albendazole, mebendazole and ivermectin.

Medical Therapy

Medical therapy with anti helmenthic medications is the primary modality of treatment. The following are the choice of drugs available for the treatment of whipworm infection:

• Albendazole: 400mg orally for 3 days
• Mebendazole: 100mg twice a day for 3 days
• Ivermectin: 200mcg/kg/day for 3days
