Surgery

Surgical therapy is done by:

• Exploratory laparotomy
• Laparoscopic methods

Surgical modalities include:

• Total hysterectomy with unilateral or bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
• Unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
• Extirpation of struma ovarii
• For malignant struma ovarii, infra-colic omentectomy is preferred.
