Neurofibroma may be classified into 6 subtypes: localised neurofibroma, diffuse neurofibroma, cutaneous/dermal neurofibroma, plexiform neurofibroma, intramuscular and intraneural neurofibroma.

Neurofibroma may be classified into following 6 subtypes:

• Localised neurofibroma (90%)
• Diffuse neurofibroma
• Cutaneous or dermal neurofibroma
• Plexiform neurofibroma
• Intramuscular neurofibroma
• Intraneural neurofibroma
