MRI may be helpful in distinguishing obstructive causes of atelectasis from non-obstructive causes. MRI does not play a significant role in the diagnosis of atelectasis.

  • There are no significant MRI findings associated with atelectasis. However, MRI may be helpful in distinguishing obstructive causes of atelectasis from non-obstructive causes.
