X-Ray

The following x-ray findings may be observed in patients suffering from adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD):

Early disease

  • Affected joints may exhibit the following changes:
    • soft tissue swelling
    • Joint effusion
    • Mild periarticular demineralisation

Late disease

  • Affected joints may exhibit the following:
    • Intercarpal and carpometacarpal joint space narrowing (JSN)
    • Ankylosis (late finding)
    • Articular erosions
