Overview
Non-surgical therapy
In children, the usual plan is to attempt closed reduction followed by cast immobilization. Childhood obesity increase the risk of malreduction and subsequent manipulations with closed reduction and casting. In adults, treatment with immobilization in a molded long arm cast can be used in those rare occasions of a nondisplaced fracture of both bones of the forearm.
