Overview

CT scan may be helpful in the diagnosis and estimating the extent of tumor spread in splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL).

CT abdomen may play an important part in diagnosis and understanding the extent of tumor spread.^[1]^[2]

Findings on CT scan suggestive of splenic marginal zone lymphoma(SMZL) include:

Massive enlargement of the spleen with slightly inhomogeneous parenchymal enhancement. Multiple enlarged lymph nodes around the coeliac trunk, the hepatoduodenal ligament and the inferior vena cava.^[3]
