Overview
Common risk factors in the development of meningioma are history of radiation treatment, inherited nervous system disorders, and female gender.[1][2][3]
Risk Factors
- Ionizing radiation: This is seen with both high and low dose levels.
- Hormones: Some meningiomas have receptors for progesterone and estrogen and can increase in size during pregnancy.
