Overview

Cardiac MRI is usually not required for diagnosis of third-degree AV block but it may be helpful in the diagnosis of cardiac and chest abnormalities related to the underlying organic disease in selected patients. According to very small study, cardiac MRI can identify etiology of hemodynamically significant AV-blocks in over 40% of the patients diagnosed with heart blocks.
