An x-ray with esophagography may be helpful in the diagnosis of bronchogenic cyst.

X-ray

An x-ray with esophagography may be helpful in the diagnosis of bronchogenic cyst. Findings on an x-ray suggestive of bronchogenic cyst include:

• Homogeneous non-calcified soft tissue density mass.
• Round to oval opacity
• Secondary excavation
• Cavity with or without levels
• Atelectasis
• Hydropneumothorax
