Overview
The recommended measures for secondary prevention are avoiding pregnancy, rigorous follow up in case of pregnancy, avoiding unnecessary surgeries, multidisciplinary care in case of necessary surgery, avoiding high altitude, supplemental oxygen to ensure a target oxygen saturation of 91% in case of exposure to high altitude, and up-to-date immunizations against influenza and pneumococcal pneumonia.
