Contrast induced encephalopathy

Contrast induced encephalopathy is a rare disorder in which an encephalopathy occurs following iodinated contrast injections. It has been observed following angioplasty [1]. It is associated with diffuse slowing on the EEG. The disorder is usually self limited and resolves within 24 hours.
