Patients with post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis may have a positive history of:

  • Streptococcal throat infection
  • Streptococcal skin infection

Common Symptoms

Common symptoms of post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis include:[1][2]

  • Dark urine may be cola or tea color is the earliest manifestation
  • Oliguria
  • Periorbital edema
  • Hypertension

Less Common Symptoms

Less common symptoms of post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis include

  • General malaiss
  • Weakness
  • Anorexia
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
