Complete blood count
- Neutrophilic leucocytosis
Cholestatic pattern of Liver function tests
- Elevated serum alkaline phosphatase
- Elevated gammaglutamyl transpeptidase (GGT)
- Elevated conjugated (direct) bilirubin
- Elevated serum amylase. Levels may be as high as 3-4 times of normal, representing pancreatitis.
