- Low blood pressure may be present
Throat
- The pseudomembrane is firm, fleshy, grey, and adherent, and it will bleed after attempts to remove or dislodge it.
Neck
- Cervical lymphadenopathy and soft-tissue swelling in the neck give rise to a “bull-neck” appearance.
