Overview
MRI is preferred for assessing the CNS and spinal cord in A-T, involving T1 and T2-weighted MRI and particularly dMRI.
By progress of A-T, progressive cerebellar atrophy and degenerative changes in hemosiderin deposits and deep cerebral telangiectatic vessels of older patients and
white matter of corticomotor tracts in younger patients are diagnostic with MRI. [1]
