Symptoms

Craniopharyngioma causes symptoms by:

• Increasing pressure on the brain, usually from hydrocephalus
• Disrupting hormone production by the pituitary gland
• Decreasing vision due to pressure or damage to the optic nerve

• Anorexia
• Balance disorder
• Dry skin
• Fatigue
• Fever
• Headache (obstructive hydrocephalus)
• Lethargy
• Myxedema
• Nausea
• Short stature
• Polydipsia
• Polyuria (diabetes insipidus)
• Vision loss (bitemporal hemianopsia)
• Vomiting
• Weight gain
• amenorrhea
