Overview
Other diagnostic studies for mediastinitis include positron emission tomography with computed tomography (PET/CT), which demonstrates increased fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake at the right hilar mass lesion and mediastinal lymph nodes, which is considered abnormal.[1]
Other imaging findings
Other diagnostic studies for mediastinitis include positron emission tomography and fiberoptic bronchoscopy.[1]
Positron emission tomography
Positron emission tomography with computed tomography (PET/CT) may demonstrate increased fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake at the right hilar mass lesion and mediastinal lymph nodes.
Fiberoptic bronchoscopy
Fiberoptic bronchoscopy may demonstrate mucosal distortion of right upper lobe.
