Overview
In 2008, the World Health Organization (WHO) added ALK negative anaplastic large cel lymphoma as a provisional entity in the peripheral T-cell lymphoma classification.[1]
Historical Perspective
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase-(ALK-) positive large B-cell lymphoma (ALK+ LBCL) was first described by Delsol and colleagues in 1997 and is now listed as a distinct entity in the 2008 WHO Classification of Tumours of Haematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues.[2]In 2008, the World Health Organization (WHO) added ALK negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma as a provisional entity in the peripheral T-cell lymphoma classification.[1]
