MRI

Typical signal characterisitics include:

• T1:

• Hypointense compared to renal cortex

• T2:

• Hyperintense compared to renal cortex
• May demonstrate hypointense central stellate scar

• T1 C+ (Gd):

• Usually demonstrates homogeneous enhancement
