Differentiating Medullary thyroid cancer from other Diseases
- Medullary thyroid cancer must be differentiated from the following:
- Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.
- Papillary thyroid carcinoma.
- Hurthle cell carcinoma
- Paraganglioma - Negative for keratin, calcitonin and CEA
- Carcinoid - Negative for calcitonin
- Metastatic Melanoma[1]
