Overview
Non-small cell lung cancer must be differentiated from other diseases that cause chronic cough, weight loss, hemoptysis, and dyspnea among adults such as tuberculosis, pulmonary fungal disease, lung abscess, and secondary metastases.[1]
Differential Diagnosis
The following list of conditions should be considered as differential diagnoses for lung cancer in general:
- Pulmonary tuberculosis[1]
- Lung abscess[2]
- Pneumonia
- Fungal infection
- Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia[3]
