Overview

There are no MRI findings associated with bursitis.

MRI

MRI is not helpful in the diagnosis of bursitis. However, MRI of the involved joint may be helpful to determine the location of an inflammation such as subcutaneous bursa, the subtendinous bursa, or tendon.
