Differential diagnosis
Mucormycosis must be differentiated from other conditions with similar presentation, for example:
- Aspergillosis
- Orbital cellulitis
- Extra nodal T cell lymphoma
- Cutaneous Anthrax
Histopathologically, mucormycosis may resemble:
- Pancreatic panniculitis
- Gouty panniculitis
