Overview
History and Symptoms
Majority of patients with trichuriasis infection are asymptomatic. In patients with high burden of adult worms present with the following symptoms:
- Weight loss
- Bloody diarrhea
- Abdominal pain and tenesmus
- Rectal prolapse
- Vomiting
- Abdominal distention
- Headache
