Biopsy

• Microscopically they have patchy consolidation.
• Microscopically exudation and interstitial changes are seen.
• They are best seen with Giemsa stain as inclusions called Leventhal -Colle-Lillie bodies and can be seen within macrophages in BAL fluid.
