Screening
- According to the endocrine society, screening for acromegaly by measurement of IGF-1 is recommended among patients with the clinical features of acromegaly. These features include the following:
- Enlarged hands and feet
- Change in the facial features
- Headache
- Increase sweating
- Paraesthesia
- Skin thickening
- Protrusion of the lower jaw
