Mammogram
- There are no mammogram findings associated with gynecomastia. However, mammogram may be helpful in the diagnosis of malignant breast lesions.[1]
- Mammogram has 100 percent sensitivity and negative predictive value of detecting malignant breast lesions.[2]
- Positive predictive value of mammogram studies is 55 percent, so it is mainly done in gynecomastia if history and physical examination of patient raise any malignancy suspicions.[3]
