Thank you for your interest in the WikiDoc Differential Diagnosis Project.

The project aims to integrate current body of medical literature into treatment strategies for organ- and pathogen-based infections, in conformity with practice guidelines, consensus statements, systematic reviews, and expert opinions.

Educational content provided herein is not intended to supplant but supplement clinical judgment. In light of the variability in epidemiologic contexts and resources available to treat an infection, adjustment in therapeutic approach may be required to optimize patient care.

a differential diagnosis is the distinguishing of a particular disease or condition from others that present similar clinical features. a differential diagnostic procedure is generally a systematic diagnostic method used in each individual patient based on their specific condition to identify the presence of a disease entity where multiple alternatives are possible. This method is essentially a process of elimination or at least a process of obtaining information that shrinks the "probabilities" of candidate conditions to negligible levels, by using evidences such as symptoms, patient history, and medical knowledge. The project aims to integrate current body of medical literature and newly written articles in the new era of differential diagnosis into conjoined, systematic pages where the availability of comparing between different possibilities be possible for diagnostician.
