Anti-β2 glycoprotein I antibody

Anti-β2 glycoprotein I antibodies along with anti-cardiolipin antibodies and lupus anticoagulant are involved in thrombosis and sclerosis in the antiphospholipid syndrome and autoimmune form of deep vein thrombosis. These antibodies interfere with factor X of coagulation cascade factors. The HLA-DR4-DQ3, DR4-DQ8, and HLA-DR7 are found to be involved in the pathogenesis of these antibodies.[1][2][3][4][5]
