Overview
Laboratory tests for liver function are usually normal.[1] An elevated concentration of serum alkaline phosphatase and gamma glutamyl transferase may be present in patients with hepatocellular adenoma.[2]

- An elevated concentration of serum alkaline phosphatase and gamma glutamyl transferase may be present in patients with hepatocellular adenoma.
- Some patients with hepatocellular adenoma may have elevated concentration of serum alpha-fetoprotein, which is usually suggestive of malignant transformation.[2]
