Overview

There are no specific MRI findings associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

MRI

• There are no MRI findings associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia
• However, MRI of the brain may be useful in patients who present with neurologic symptoms, which is common in acute lymphoblastic leukemia
• MRI of the brain can help assess for organic or anatomic etiologies of neurologic dysfunction and they are the following:
  • Leukoencephalopathy
  • Glial cell hyperplasia
  • Meningitis

Left proptosis (axial grade I) with retinal hemorrhage of high signal intensity on T1WI and FLAIR, and low signal intensity on T2WI and GE with no significant enhancement seen on post-contrast sequences.
