Overview
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification system, ganglioglioma may be classified into 3 grades based on the severity of disease and the degree of cellular differentiation.
Classification
According to the 2016 edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System, ganglioglioma are classified into 2 grades:[1]
- Grade I : lesions with low proliferative potential
- grade III: anaplastic ganglioglioma
Criteria for grade II ganglioglioma have not been defined.
