Diagnosis
- The diagnosis of diabetic ketoacidosis is made in the presence of:
- Hyperglycemia- Plasma glucose > 250 mg/dL
- Anion gap metabolic acidosis- pH < 7.3; Serum bicarbonate < 15 mEq/L
- Ketonemia/ Ketonuria-
