I am Dr Chaithanya Avanthika(MBBS, Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences), currently working in a pediatric outpatient setup. I fell in love with Pediatrics as a subject ever since my first rotation at med school, and here I am, aspiring to cure little ones everywhere! I am passionate towards child healthcare and health equity, and I am actively seeking and pursuing opportunities to help me achieve my dream of being a pediatrician.

I enjoy working in academic research as well, and have a couple of publications in Pediatrics and Primary Care Medicine. I am currently working on a few more projects related to pediatrics and the COVID 19 pandemic. I am the co-founder of "The Otto Research Initiative for IMGs", a non profit organisation that teaches and mentors International Medical Students and Graduates in basic research skill sets and projects. I also founded the "KIMS Scientific Society", in my alma mater Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, to encourage young medical students to step into the field of research.

I also volunteer with various NGOs and organisations like Rotary International and Red Cross to help and serve underprivileged children. I have conducted menstrual hygiene talks for young girls to spread menstrual awareness, and free health camps for children of all ages, to ensure accessible health care for all. I am currently functioning as the Head of Operations for "Rama Rao Charitable Trust", a non profit organisation which helps with free housing and educational opportunities for underprivileged students and children in Bangalore, India.
