Overview
Neuroepithelial cells are a subtype of stem cell. When dividing, the neuroepithelial cell undergos a proliferative division producing two identical cells. After this division, the daughter cells produce another identical daughter cell as well as a non-stem-cell progenitor or a neuron by asymmetric divisions.
