Doctor Stephen Dejter (1930 in Opatówek, Poland - Washington, 1998), son of Edmund Dejter, studied medicine. He was a specialist in cardiology and internal diseases. He invented a needle used to treat the prostate, called Dejter’s needle. His son, doctor Stephen Dejter is a well-known American urologist.
