Mammary duct ectasia can mimic breast cancer. It is a disorder of premenopausal age. Nipple retraction, inversion and sometimes bloody discharge may present.
Histologically dilation of the large duct is prominent. Pathogenesis may be a reaction to stagnant colostrum.
It can lead to pain in the nipple.[2]
