Overview

Aortitis is generally associated with rheumatologic diseases or infectious etiologies. The most common causes of aortitis are rheumatologic diseases[1]. Infectious aortitis most commonly presents as mycotic aneurysm and is potentially life-threatening[2]. Aortitis may also be an incidental pathologic finding after surgery for aortic aneurysm.
