History and symptoms

Most people who are infected with enterovirus 68 (EV-D68) and other non-polio enteroviruses do not get sick, or they only have mild illness. Enterovirus 68 is associated with respiratory illness and symptoms of mild illness may include:

• Fever
• Coryza
• Sneezing
• Cough
• Skin rash
• Malaise
• Myalgia
• Headaches
