Overview
Enterovirus 68 infection presents with symptoms of an acute respiratory tract infection. The most common symptoms of this viral infection include fever, cough, dyspnea, coryza, and malaise.
History and symptoms
- Most people who are infected with enterovirus 68 (EV-D68) and other non-polio enteroviruses do not get sick, or they only have mild illness.
- Patients develop symptoms of common cold that may progress to a more severe respiratory infection.
